After a decade living and working in Paris as a psychotherapist, Selma (Golshifteh Farahani) is taking everything she’s learned back home. She wants to grow the community that once nurtured her, but her circle of family and acquaintances in Tunis, it turns out, is a little resistant to the idea. Life has gone on without her, and therapy as a separate, billed meeting in an office is, Selma finds, a culture clash proposition that will test her own assumptions about what it means to truly listen and connect.
